NATO plans May military exercises in Georgia

Source: Reuters BRUSSELS, April 15 (Reuters) - NATO said on Wednesday it would hold military exercises next month in Georgia, a former Soviet republic promised eventual alliance membership but whose territory was invaded by Russia last August.

I definitely read this initially as "NATO plans Gay military exercises in Georgia." It was quite a double take, let me tell you.

But, then, I tend to see gayness in pretty much everything. So it wasn't surprising.

I was initially worried about the safety of a multinational force in such a potentially hostile territory, but then I realised with some relief that it was Soviet Georgia and not Southern Georgia.
