This sums up the neocon ignorance of, well, just about everything. Anybody who knows any history knows that when you attack a country, the people of that country will rally around and support the government, no matter how much they might dislike it. It's called nationalism, and it's a concept that the neocons seem not to be familiar with. Maybe they were out the day it was covered in college. Abrams sums up both the arrogance and the ignorance of these people. John Bolton has been saying the same thing. They are all willfully ignorant.

Pretty much. You'd think after the failures of the last eight years under their watch, these neocon idiots would STFU since they've been all but discredited, but they just keep talking. It's maddening.

There was a foreign policy panel a few days ago with bunch of hawks against doves and they were asked what they would propose if Iran reached the nuke stage (by that I mean, they actually dont have the bomb but the capability to make one if they choose to).

Eliot Abrams being a war hawk that he is, advocated for bombing Iran's nuclear facilities.

Okay. It's not just me right? Those two both look horrendously evil, right?

Gosh, if only Iran had been bombed for eight years straight during the 1980s, we might have some historical basis for understanding how they react to these kinds of things. Too bad that never happened.
