During his confirmation hearing today, Attorey General nominee Eric Holder unequivocally rejected torture. “No one is above the law,” Holder said repeatedly during the hearing.

If real life is 24, then why are we in the Middle East at all? The bad guys always turn out to be ambiguous Eastern Europeans, Mexicans, Republican politicians who want to start a war for oil in Asia, or the entire country of China. The only time the big bad guy was a Middle Easterner, he was from Turkey for God's sake.

I was home sick from work today.. watched a bunch of that hearing. What I came out with mostly involved thinking that Spector was being a jackass.
