Why? He's done that before. During the last time he ran, he went on an apology tour about the shit he said back then too. It's a recurring theme with him. He'll say shit to get him elected, or what he will think is politically expedient, then a while later he'll go and say, "Oh, I'm sorry I did that, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FORGIVE MEEEEEEEEEEE!"
