It sounds like Kim Davis's replacement is still a jerkface but eh. If he is a jerkface who will write a signature on a piece of paper that is an improvement of sorts.

I am afraid we are still stuck with Morgan Griffith. Mostly bc they sliced Blacksburg into pieces specifically so a Democrat has to not just win but like... completely obliterate the opponent.

I actually saw him yesterday at a restaurant too. Asshole didn't even acknowledge me.

As an NC resident (voting absentee from another state, but w/e), I'm disappointed that the voter ID ballot measure passed but happy that the General Assembly no longer has a Republican supermajority - now they'll have to actually respect the governor's veto.

And yay for a Democratic majority in the US House! Again, not everything went the way I would've hoped, buuut at least it's looking mostly better than before.

I'm...not entirely convinced anything has changed locally or nationally. In Vermont, we elected almost all the same people back HAH! Big surprise...Bernie Sanders does well in VT.

I'm very happy the Dems took the House, but disappointed for the Senate, especially since this is going to help the Republicans fuck with the judiciary even more...

It was about a 90% possibility. The map was pretty much a R giveaway. But... that also means they are screwed in 2020.
Not that Mitch McCconnell GAF. He's got his judges But... sooner or later time will catch up with him too, I guess.

Just curious: why do you say they are screwed in 2020? (I'm Canadian, so hopefully that question wasn't too ignorant of the US's political process.) :)
