I had to wake up at 5:30 to go to work at 6:30 on Saturday
so naturally my sister looks at me on Thursday and says "oh by the way we're seeing Social Distortion on Saturday. You want me to pick anything up for you?"
the cat is puking and shitting on the floor. who knows if the vet is open because that stupid-ass eclipse is tomorrow. who knows if we can even get there due to all the expected highway traffic.
to get my mind off depressing things, i watched jerry lewis being the tyrannical dick he was (along with some horrible racist jokes) during his telethon years and then i got depressed that this shit was considered okay by many in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s.
Since i have been behind the Great Firewall, logging on to Facebook has become a chore in more ways than one. Now, when i log on, i find it as vapid as i ever did, but the Taiwan crew are annoying me with their near-constant anti-China vitriol. It's one of the reasons i decided to come to mainland China to learn Chinese rather than stay in Taiwan. I am not sure if i should engage them, because as a backpacker who has only been in the region a couple months i am not an expert on the topic, but their anger and hatred drives me up the wall. I guess i can take solace in the fact that the rest of my "friends" are loudly condemning Trump, misogynists, racists and that whole shitshow happening in the Western hemisphere
