Beyond, once again, demonstrating the limitations of politician-centered politics, these identity-based politics of infallibility also softly seem to insinuate that women of color (and politicians of color in general) are impossibly fragile or less capable (or worthy) of receiving much-needed critique without being altogether abandoned or seen as disposable.
No, fuck this writer for this. You cannot suggest the demonstrable way the system works against women and POC is simply a perpetuation of racism by the people who are worried about it. This is bullshit, and makes me actively angry. This is skirting the line of "it's all in your head" and it's not necessary. There are other ways to suggest that people aren't trying to vet Harris before they say "yas girl!" without saying "and that is the real racism!" at WOC who have seen this shit before.
Yet Harris has swiftly been elevated as a kind of progressive feminist hero injecting new life into the party purporting to stand in stark ( ... )

Nor can you claim to care about the voices of the marginalized and then ignore all the sex workers, trans people, poor people and people of color telling you that Harris' record on a number of issues gives them extreme pause, while then claiming that only white men are unsure about her.
Also I'm high-key tired of seeing Sanders name brought up here any time someone has to respond to left criticism, especially given that many of us who criticize Dems are further left than Sanders to start with and find him lacking as well.
