The stats are certainly interesting regarding these recent events. Out of 100 seats in the Senate (2 for each of the 50 states), only 21 are occupied by women. Of that 21, only 5 are occupied by Republicans. Of that 5, only 2 voted against the final push for ACA repeal. Good to keep these numbers in mind as opinions are being formed. The White House was all, "Nice state you have there, Murkowski. Shame if something should . . . HAPPEN to it!" I mean, seriously, they threatened "repercussions" to Alaska because Murkowski refused to toe the line and continued to actually represent her state's best interests. Judging from the Alaskan reaction I've seen so far, Tr*mp & Co. might actually turn the whole state blue if he manages to last four years and run again.
