And lowering taxes as much as possible is exactly what the Repubs In congress want to do. Because it just works SO well. Yay for trickle down economics. RME

The problem is that reduced taxes *at certain levels* can help the economy. It just isn't that it is useful when applied to the super rich.

My understanding is that if a state has a 5% sales tax and a business income tax and a personal income tax. Reducing the sales tax creates the most positive impact on the economy. They will need to make up the difference by increases on business and personal income taxes (so that the state spending on things like schools & roads which also drives the economy isn't slashed).

However the GOP doesn't grok that.
