Saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 so it was a good weekend even if it was way too hot for autumn and I was out for 7 hours to see a 2.5 hr (including so many ads and like 3 movie previews) movie thanks to lousy public transport

I hate public transport even though I take it really often.

I don't drive so I'm stuck with it and yeah people on public transport are the worst. I could rant for soo long (but I won't :))

I hate public speaking but I'm in academia so sometimes...

I'm presenting at a conference (not a big one + short presentation) but yeah.

Don't have to do much for my job but sometimes get asked to do classes (high school library) and uggh

It does, it does! I used to have to do a lot of public speaking for a past job, and no matter how prepared I was, it never really got any easier.

After 24 years, my parents just closed their drycleaners. It wasn't necessarily voluntary, in that if their employee hadn't been diagnosed with leukemia a couple months ago and no longer able to work, they would have chugged along for another year or so, trying to ride out the horrible conditions to try and sell their business. But, he did get diagnosed, and my parents are too old to do the work on their own (my dad tried and it totally broke him), and (I really think because of Trump's anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies)there are no experienced workers to be found. So my parents decided they were done
