I'm thinking he got pushed off the NSC for opposition to the Syria strike, rather than any careful reconsideration of what the fuck he was doing there in the first place.

Unfortunately, considering Hillary's affection for Kissinger, I think we would have struck Syria sooner or later anyway. :/
