I mean, it is major red flag when someone denies unethical activity in the answer to a question that was never asked.

Like, "Can you do your job in a non-partisan way?" shouldn't be answered with "I can't really talk about it, but I certainly didn't do anything wrong." Because nobody asked him that.

It's bizarre how they are all so terrible at lying. It makes me wonder what's going on, because there's this big general "Russia" thing that could be like 5 corrupt things going on, and they act so flustered anytime they are asked about it, I wonder if they're involved in some basic bribe or something and don't want to get linked to the DNC hack+related Russia interference. There are few reasons I can think of why a career politician would lie so poorly.
