MSNBC is owned by NBC Universal not by Turner. Just wanted to correct that bit of misinformstion.
As for Sarandon, well, she's said some things that she deserves to be called out on, and she should not be shocked when someone decides to do so. Afaic, she should be willing to stand by her statements and take whatever criticism--or "humiliation"--results. Either that, or retract them and admit she may have gone too far. She doesn't get to have it both ways.
