I Did Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Workout. It Nearly Broke Me. the early hours of Nov. 9, as stock markets began to rally on the news of Donald Trump’s upset win, there was another dramatic spike afoot. Interest in the bone density and cholesterol levels of an 83-year-old woman from Flatbush, New York, was also soaring ( Read more... )

Very enjoyable, thanks for posting.

But does Johnson believe Trump, who is 70, could complete Ginsburg’s workout? Wisely, he declined to comment.

The mental image of Drumpf trying to do that workout made me cackle! He probably wouldn't know an elliptical machine from a vacuum cleaner, seeing as how he's most likely used either one. The only exercise he gets is running...his mouth!

it doesn't matter how old or young you are, everyone should workout.

Also anyone who can do one leg squats for reps has my uneneding respect.

They're HARD.
I use the leg press at the gym to do one-legged presses but doing them while standing is a whole other gig. Keeping your balance in itself uses so many parts of your core.

yes, balance is the key. We do them at my gym off and on and almost all of us scale it because even the handful that can pull off one are always falling over by the time they're standing up, a second isn't happening so anyone can that had earned respect.

I worked up to doing them by starting on a bench, like one-legged box squats, basically. If you're a beginner, you can literally sit in the middle of each rep. As you get better, set the bench lower and lower till I was squatting not touching the bench at all, but with it still under me to fall comfortably on my ass if I need to. It still takes a while to develop the strength but it's a lot less scary!
