Let's be even clearer: it was an anti-Muslim smear campaign that specifically targeted him as a bad choice FIRST because he is Muslim, and SECOND because he is "too left"--the latter may have been the major reason the smear campaign was believed to be necessary in the first place, but it's not what they used to smear him. In this political climate they showed themselves willing to use the same racist rhetoric as Trump to get their way.

Honestly, I have seen no smear campaign against Ellison, and considering the crap and bullshit Sanders' fans keep coming up with whenever they don't get what they want, I need more evidence, than just a pro-Sanders article saying it's so.

Honestly, at this point I'm against anyone that's on Bernie Sanders' side, mostly because he doesn't give a fuck about the Democrats and his snide remarks have caused more harm than anything else;

If someone is an ally of Sanders, then quite honestly, I'm going to wonder what the hell they're up to. Sanders is scum, pure and simple. I started out liking him, but the more I saw of him during the election, the more I started hating his guts.

No one gives a fuck about democrats except party diehards. Voters certainly don't, or democrats wouldn't have lost 1000 seats in the last decade and lost the presidency to a reality star.

This isolationist attitude doesn't help the democrats either, if that's what you care about.
