The sad thing is
Yeah, they kind of do.

Or we need to change the electoral college to reflect straight majority

But one of these is feasible and the other will take an act of Congress. And we've learned how functional Congress is.

Did I hallucinate the raft of detailed policy plans on Clinton's website? I'm quite sure they were there (the one on support for early childhood education and supporting working parents was quite good, iirc, and I am waaaaay left of Clinton), even if the media didn't bother to pay attention when they were announced, and her comm team clearly sucked at getting them out there.

I doubt she'll run again, just because of her age, and I think the party at large will be too scared to nominate someone other than a white dude.

Agreed!

I don't understand wtf is wrong with people, that a catchy slogan or two somehow constitutes a "messafe," but detailed plans and policies don't.

Fuck people, tbqh.

yeah biden's not gonna toot his own horn but he is significantly less of a war hawk than Hilldawg

I'm tired of this debate though. Clintonism lost and no way it's comin' back.

lol, do you mean in the next 4 years, because fascism is back and you'd think that should be considerably more gone (and also because Chelsea Clinton came out of this looking sincere and ethical, and Caroline Kennedy is no different from
H. Clinton).

Nah, I mean the whole Third Way Neolib Republican-lite schmooze with the big donors while trying to appeal to the little guy policies. If Dems are to win in 2018 and later (and i really, sincerely, hope they do) they need to NOT follow the blueprint Bill Clinton had in 1992.
