The platform puts the march in support of the usual feminist suspects: the long-overdue Equal Rights Amendment, equal pay, paid family leave, and an ( Read more... )

Going is not an option for me-- we just don't have the money, and my daughter's participation in a pretty prestigious economically-accessible vocal arts program is pretty non-negotiable regarding attendance at its Saturday morning rehearsals. In Boston.

But I think this is great, and my kids and I will be attending the shadow event next week in Boston. All three of us are super excited for it.

I wish I could go, but I work the day before and the day after. however, I'm told the town's democratic committee is having a phonebank-a-palooza that weekend to spread word about the meeting on the 28th.
also, I'm going to one of those Our First Stand events tomorrow.

I was considering going in Berlin, but it is a chaos. The official sister march got canceled due to a major environmentalist protest happening the same day, meanwhile there are three independent and unaffiliated anti-Trump protests happening Friday around the city.

I might just take a leaf from the Scots and watch it on TV.

You American activists are giving me life, though. I love that WoC are out front and center, and that they have released this statement of solidarity with "controversial" and fucking necessary groups like BLM and AIM. I hope the attendance on Saturday blows the Z-grade inauguration festivities out of the water. Pussy grab back!
