The weekend ended too soon. I had a week off at the end of December to kind of refresh and reset and prepare for work in the new year, but all it did was make me want more time off. How will I make it to next December if this is what I'm like in January?!

I have to say that there are times when staying motivated for a thesis is difficult (even when one finds the subject matter interesting and so on).

Also, it's cold where I live. And dark.

How'd all my East Coast peeps deal with the snow? Aside from having to go to a Lessons and Carols service at church (which probably would have been cancelled if they'd known just how bad the snow would be) I hid and slept. I needed that.

Plus I petsat for my favorite Golden Retriever for the weekend, which is always nice.

the snow was the perfect excuse to stay indoors all weekend, but i wish it had been a weekday snowstorm--gimme a snow day!
