I'm still trying to find an amount for CR7's charity donation but I doubt it was published. Given that he's like, consistently been one of the top charitable givers in teh world for several years I doubt it was pocket change.

Also I thought about including an article on George Michael's charity work but I AM DONE WALLOWING IN DEATH Y'ALL

I know my reply is a bit late, but I read an article about George Michael's charitable acts and it was heartwarming. I'm glad that Cristiano Ronaldo gave a donation and sent a message to Syrian children.

thank you for the positive news, thank you for always sharing the positive news i appreciate it.

(i have some misgivings with save the children because a friend of mine used to work for them and got completely disillusioned with social work because of it because save the children will like help one child in a family without necessarily helping the family as a whole and that can create some nasty dynamics but overall i think it's a good thing to do and i appreciate someone with so much clout speaking about this).

Yeaaahh I kind of side-eye anything that has "the children" front and center because it tends to have a pretty narrow focus in terms of assistance but as you say, it's CR7. For some people, especially in super-poverty, it's HUGE for him to acknowledge you. especially with all the hair gel companies he supports ah hah ha hah

fwiw if you don't follow football things and want your mind blown, look up Didier Drogba. He's had a huge hand in helping develop hospitals / education / etc. in Ivory Coast over the years.

i'm confused...what do the hair gel companies have to do with it.

(i think it's funny that you said football, even though you're us-ian :D)

i'm reading about him right now, he seems amazing.

Cristiano Ronaldo has very carefully gelled hair at any given time. So I throw in a joke or two.

It's the company I keep - I work with a lot of ppl from India or international so football is interchangeable in some respects. And then I shorthand "football or football or the other football" when I really need to.

Yes - he's awesome. IIRC half his paycheck even now goes back to his home country. Or at least it did when he played with a super-lucrative Turkish league. I think he's playing somewhere else now.
