Minnesota football team ends boycott over sexual assault case

Minnesota's university football team have reversed a pledge to boycott games over the suspension of 10 players over an alleged sexual assault.

The team had threatened not to play until the school authorities gave "satisfactory answers".

The university earlier suspended the 10 players without providing any reasons, following an internal inquiry. ( Read more... )

Yeah, I don't know why I'm bothering. You could literally look up anything actual experts in the judicial system have said about grand juries, but you "don't know what proof" would help you. More information, obviously (which would have you know that you need 2/3 or 3/4 of a grand jury to indict, which considering the lowest number you can have is 16, means the lowest number to indict is 11, all public easily googleable information, all of which you eschewed even after you'd been told that your information was lacking and erroneous).

And now I can't tell if you're playing dumb or just being ridiculous to think that "stopped believing" is an accurate phrase, when what happened was that you were wrong, were told you were wrong, insisted that you were right and that you could back up your assertion, and folded only when asked for proof. And here you are again asserting that eliminating prosecutorial discretion in whole or in part isn't drastic on literally just your feelings, even though we both know you are low information ( ... )
