Yay! Here, have a Fluttershy hug. :)

I don't tend to post news articles as much because -- okay, well, the last couple times I did the post ended up with 100+ comments and my inbox was flooded. Hah. That was a few years back, though. Since it's not quite so busy -- although I am very glad to see that there are still posts that get a lot of discussion! -- I don't have to worry so much about not being able to find anything else in my Gmail Social tab.

However, when I do post, I take absolute advantage of the tags, because, man, we've got some awesome ones here that don't see nearly enough use!

I always forget about it, because usually if it blows up like that, it's contentious, and it can be anxiety-inducing, depending on what direction it goes. So, I usually end up twitchy and entirely forget that unsubscribing from a post is even an option.

This is one of those lies that so obvious it's ... dumbfounded.

He tweeted about it before the election.

Hillary brought it up in the debate.

Like the "Iraq war" lies, This is a no-brainer.

Gaslighting son of a bitch is just trying to make his own fucking reality.

he probably just didn't go to the intelligence briefings. He's too smart for them.

He seems to almost be proud that he doesn't read the intelligence briefings.

I mourn what my country is about to become.

It's been heading that way for quite a long while though. We can't have educated, peaceful, healthy people AND a hyper-Capitalist system where some people get really rich. The two are not compatible at all.

on one hand hacking is legit serious (although I really do wonder about what whether it's state sponsored or a russian group or like, a whole bunch of dicks that just wanted to play with people a la wikileaks)

But even without, in retrospect, I think Trump could have indeed won this election and blaming it on anyone and anything aside from the DNC is a really good way for the political left to avoid learning some really important and relevant lessons wrt economy and stepping outside of the Beltway Bubble while still remaining in their Ivory Towers and being like SEE SEE THIS LOSS IS NOT ON US.

I certainly don't point to it as the "OMG THIS IS WHAT GOT THE TANGERINE TERROR ELECTED". It's a factor, but only one of very, very, very many. I don't know if it's just me, but this election year has been unlike anything in my memory. Granted, the first election I actually followed, though I was a year or so too young to vote, was Shrub 2000.

But, the primaries were vicious for both parties. You had Bernie and Hillary and their supporters getting into it (I'm a Bernie supporter, but man, some of the stuff said, even in this community, was just not on), and then you had the Republican clown car of, what, twenty or so in a competition to see who could earn the award of "Least Mature Individual." Obviously, the Orange Tornado won that award, no surprise ( ... )

i see no wrongs in this post. It is 100% wrong-free.

I just really, really have no faith in the DNC - or the Democratic Party in general - being willing to learn from it. Even now the "Russian hack" talk seems like a distraction from legitimately thinking about all the reasons and factors for the bizarre truth that Donald Trump won. Because doing so would mean some serious overhaul of a party that is super-entrenched in their own money-making behaviors.
