That's exactly why Trump picked him. No need to attack affordable housing when you can appoint a know-nothing to take care of it and let the whole thing literally and figuratively collapse.

He (Carson) is also against the Fair Housing Act that prevents discrimination based on race, color, creed, national origin, sex, or disability.

Another reply--

NYCHA (NYC Housing Authority) gets little funding on the federal level since high rise public housing has been phased out federally. They are operating with +$700 million in debt, and the Kushner family owns a large real estate development company (Voranado). Let's add more conflicts to the Trump presidency party!

Trump and Kushner are both real estate moguls, so I think we can reasonably expect one or both of their companies to get substantial HUD contracts. And anybody to whom they've lost business will *not* get HUD contracts.

Remembering what Carson was like during the GOP debates, I can't help but picture him snoring in his chair while his subordinates tiptoe around him, doing whatever work they can get done without his input.

This appointment, like the entire Drumpf cabinet, is a joke. A very, very, very, very, very, very, very bad joke on this country. The whole thing makes me rage.

I don't know it makes me think of the former FEMA head Michael Brown. But instead of saying he is doing "a heck of a job" in the wake of Katrina and 2,000+ deaths, Trump will say something far more narcissistic and delusional.
