It is truly unfathomable that we don't have the actual right to chose 40 fucking years after Roe v. Wade. And it is 100% because men can't get pregnant.

The US needs single payer health care. Women need to be able to get safe, legal and affordable treatment, including abortions. No one should have to go to Mexico to get misoprostol, a drug which is very easily available in the US.

I worked at a pharmacy and the head pharmacist refused to stock Plan B, even though it was company policy to do so, because she was a religious twit who liked feeling superior to women who didn't want children. I ended up quitting in part because of that. Fuck anyone who interferes with a woman making the choice that is best for her and her body.

That head pharmacist sounds like a real douchebag. I don't understand people who go into the pharmacy profession when they know they will be uncomfortable dispensing certain kinds of drugs. If you don't want to do the damned job, find another line of work.

Grrr, people like that really piss me off!

I 100% agree! I said the same thing about our friend Kim Davis who felt like she didn't have to do her JOB of allowing gay people to get married.

Thanks for posting this, OP. It's a really depressing read, but really really important.

Also, what this article underscores for me is how little women, and particularly poor women and WOC, count to these assholes. Because it's obvious that women are killing and maiming themselves out of desperation and those who want to restrict abortion *still* don't care.
