TBH this is a longshot; Louisiana has elected Democratic senators before, sure, but he only brought in 337,000 votes, versus John Kennedy's nearly 500,000, and while he COULD conceivably siphon votes from the other Republican candidates instead of letting them all go to John Kennedy, Kennedy beat his next nearest Republican rival by 10 points. It seems a solid bet that Kennedy will take the seat.
