So have I mentioned that some Fox News affiliate in Texas has either been a) airing an informal telephone poll using my company's toll-free number, erroneously, or b) somehow managed to overflow onto said number?

Back in early September we kept getting barraged by floods of people calling every few hours about things to do with the election - mostly, about Clinton's e-mail shenanigans. Things blessedly quieted down for a while, only to start back up with a vengeance this past week.

We're in Canada, by the by. We really don't care about the goddamn e-mails, and for the sake of all the gods, please vote for something other than the carrot.

Aaaaaagh I will be glad when this is done.

Biggest bottle of cheap vodka I can find. The plan is to be up early to try to beat the line at the poll. Get something to eat. Then I'm gonna get destroyed.

I've been stocking up on snacks to take to the polls with me tomorrow, where I will be working as an election judge from 5 am to Who-the-Hell-Knows-When pm. Wish me luck, because it's going to be a really long, exhausting day

Yeah, I've been really anxious about the aftermath of the election, too. Trump has stirred up and emboldened the hornets' nest of white supremacists and neo nazis that have always been hiding in plain sight. For the most part, I draw a perverse comfort from the fact that most Americans are just too lazy/complacent to carry out armed insurrection. But, the pockets of gun fetishist, Doomsday Prepper types are still a concern. They may not be able to pull off a coup, but they can certainly hurt a lot of people in the attempt. :/

I'll probably avoid looking at any election based coverage, but I'm sure Facebook will be flooded with election stuff (just like I see tons of sports stuff on there).

I'm getting out of the house. I'll be at my university all day, on a quiet floor in the library. With Mexican food, just to spite the yam-faced buffoon. And chocolate, because how are you supposed to deal without it?
