The antics of TrashMan are triggering women who have suffered abuse.

[OP note: I'm glad the press is seeing this. I've been saying it for a while now, and I thought I was overreacting. My one caveat might be that men aren't they only ones who can do this & Trump doesn't just do this to women but the the Male/Female abuse dynamic is the one that is most pervasive and most visible in that last debate.]

True, but the past two years or so seem to be a highly concentrated version of all the previous crap.

No, it won't. The Republicans will do the same thing to her that they have been doing to her for the last 25 or so years and they'll be just as obstructive as they have been with Obama if possible. That's why it's vital for Clinton to win by a majority and take as much of the down ballot races as possible.

I can't recall where I saw it, but apparently some of his followers have started a hashtag to repeal the 19th amendment. This is because of polls showing that he could win if women couldn't vote.

This isn't a campaign anymore (if it ever was) he's gathering a sick and dangerous personal army.

Shit, you're right. This is SO sick and SO dangerous and SO...jkluklef89km4e. I don't even have words. I'm sleep deprived right now, and the part of my brain that finds eloquent words to express what I'm thinking and feeling is not functioning very well. All I know is that I'm SICK TO DEATH of that malevolent circus peanut and his knuckle-dragging followers. SICK SICK SICK.

It's less than 4 weeks now, and if he wasn't imploding right in front of our eyes, I wouldn't be able to stand this crap. As it is, it's only marginally bearable because I'm fairly certain at this point that, unless something really unforeseen happens, the pusillanimous piss weasel is going to lose and lose badly.

and yet loads of people will still make false equivalencies between the two candidates, including media and political figures as well as random people I talk to... it's mind-blowing and surreal and horrifying.

That isn't only Trump's followers, it's a long term GOP position. The voter ID laws in some states, such as Texas, require that a voter's name match the name on the birth certificate. That means women who marry and legally change their maiden name to their husband's surname could be disenfranchised from voting. When it was pointed out that the new voter ID laws could keep most married women from voting if enforced, the GOP said not to worry about it because it'll never be enforced. But they haven't amended the template and they're still trying to pass more voter ID laws with the restriction in it in other states, so you know it's not a bug it's a feature.

I'm interested to see what he makes of himself after the election. He's lost a lot of friends and allies. as mark cuban said, his current non college educated blue collar base of supporters aren't really his target demographic when it comes to his hotels and other amenities... will be interesting to see how his business fails as well.

I've heard speculation that he would start his own news cable channel

londonsquare October 12 2016, 21:33:39 UTC
Yeah this is my number one theory.

He'll lose the election and instead of a concession speech, he'll announce that he's launching his own new network (headed by Roger Ailes) because all the other news stations are corrupt (Fox News is in the pockets of the Republican establishment, etc., etc.,). He'll do the whole conman, "I have never lied to you, I have always told the truth and I will continue to do so on my news channel."

And I guarantee they will be the most vocal and the most rabid in covering any and every story about Hillary Clinton as president.

Watch them launch the network on Inauguration Day.

I did feel awful during the debate. I was pick pick picking at my nail polish, so incredibly stressed. I was really really angry too, especially how she *can't* argue back and put him in his place. The sexual assault stuff especially. This IS a serious political issue, and the most qualified person running, who happens to be a woman, can't even talk about it candidly without backlash.

It was happening *to her* on stage, and she could only act with poise, and she held it together. SO much better than I would against that piece of garbage.

the woman has nerves of steel. I admire her so much for the poise and calm she displays. I know I wouldn't be able to do it.

and when he was lurking behind her and moving closer... it was so unsettling

It was her calm demeanor from the last time she debated that buffoon that assured me that if she can handle that much garbage from one guy for that long, she can handle any world leader. Diplomacy almost doesn't describe it. It is an art form, her calmness.

I shared this on the FB, and my brother even said he was unsettled by him. The last few days I've read more and more of the orange nut case's attacks and sexual aggression toward various women and I think I want to hide for the next few weeks. I can't handle any more.

My mom has been crying a lot because hearing what Trump said in that tape and watching him stalk her on stage brought up a lot of bad memories. And then I got to thinking about the times men have touched me inappropriately (earliest memory is a boy in my class when I was 10), without my consent, or made me feel violated--and the sad thing is, in that moment I was RELIEVED THAT I'M NOT CONVENTIONALLY ATTRACTIVE, because it means I don't get the worst of it. HOW FUCKED UP IS THAT?!

It is but a lot of us do that I've told myself before that what happened to me when I was 11 on Christmas that at least all of my clothes stayed on. I apologize for being brief, I am having a hard time with Microsoft's speech recognition.
