Yikes, what terrible people you ran in to :/ So sorry you had to deal with that.
I remember the first time I moved back to Korea 12 years ago and told people I lived in the middle east, I got all sorts of questions like "Did you live in a tent in the desert", "Did you ride camels to school", "Have you met a terrorist" etc. I sometimes used to play along to fuck with them but it got real old, real fast.
Also, in the US, I get the obligatory "So are you from North Korea or South Korea?", "Do you eat dog meat?", "Wow, your English is so good for an Asian person" and my all time favorite, "Asian names are so hard. Do you have an English name I can use?" (My name isn't even hard lol)
A significant portion of my weekend was spent trying to get a non-loser patronus lol. After 31 attempts I finally cheated and looked up the combos to get either a dragon or unicorn and I got my unicorn!
Wow, nice to be in a timezone where I can see this post as it comes in :) I have been on vacation for about 10 days now. Spent a week in Windsor with a friend then headed west on Friday. I got into Minneapolis this afternoon after passing through Detroit, Muskegon, Milwaukee and Madison. Unfortunately I am still struggling to recover from the flu I got slammed with the moment I stopped working. This hectic schedule of Greyhound to ferry to Megabus to motel and long marches with a pack on my back is not helping. But so far the trip is totally worth the pain
( ... )
That looks delicious. I've been looking for a good ginger dressing. I'm looking forward to trying this one. We spent the weekend making ramen (link to recipe below) for extended family, so tonight is definitely a cook's night off, but tomorrow night's dinner may be Asian chicken chopped salad.
i think i'm going to be a bad politically active human being and just not watch the debate tomorrow... nothing new will be learned. anyone who is undecided right now (insofar as they can't choose between trump or hillary) probably shouldn't be voting. i'm sry.
ugh, good luck! maybe watching it with other people will make it less miserable. unless they like trump, in which case i'll be keeping you in my thoughts haha
