This is a good thing, as far as it goes. It could be the start of something very good...if it doesn't stop here. Time will tell.

And now...cue Drumpf temper tantrum about the press not bending over for him--because he's bound to have one, right? ;-D

People being scared of his tantrums is what allowed him to get this far. I hope he throws one and they ignore it.

Hugh Hewitt already started one.

"By the way Hillary Clinton totally started it, so it's not my fault, but I so believe Barack Obama was born in the USA. *Big Huge Wink at the Birthers in the audience*"

"In 2011, Mr. Trump was finally able to bring this ugly incident to its conclusion by successfully compelling President Obama to release his birth certificate"

His campaign's statement is baffling and enraging. For years after 2011 Trump was still posting birther shit on his twitter.

This is also my favorite: https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/clintons-2008-campaign-manager-on-whether-they-promoted-rumors-about-obamas

The headline: "CLINTON’S 2008 CAMPAIGN MANAGER ON WHETHER THEY PROMOTED RUMORS ABOUT OBAMA’S HERITAGE: “YEAH”"

The transcript THEY INCLUDED IN THE PRESS RELEASE:
PATTI SOLIS DOYLE: There was a volunteer coordinator, I believe in late 2007, I think in December, one of our volunteer coordinators in one of the counties in Iowa. I don't recall whether they an actual paid staffer, but they did forward an e-mail that promoted the conspiracy.

WOLF BLITZER: The birther conspiracy?

DOYLE: Yeah. Hillary made the decision immediately to let that person go. We let that person go.

Wow, you sure showed us Donald!

Today has been absolutely bonkers and it's not even over yet.

Seriously? Clinton has literally said, straight from her fucking mouth that she does not want to abolish the 2nd Amendment or take away anybody's guns. Is he for fucking real right now?

As usual, he's not letting pesky facts get in the way of his remarks. See also:

OH FOR FUCK'S FUCKING SAKE.

That orange plague sore is literally DARING his already rage crazed followers to take a shot at her.  It couldn't BE more blatant.

JFC on a fucking jet ski--can't something be done before some unhinged asshole takes him up on this?

It's like he pushes the envelope just a l i t t l e bit farther each time. When he gets away with x, he then comes back and goes for y.  If somebody doesn't stop him, where is this all going to end??

[Insert gif of dog ducking into his cage and pulling his blanket over himself.]

i'm sorry but how are we letting a presidential candidate use free press to advertise his new hotels and then pretend it's actually about policy because he's decided to ADMIT the CURRENT president is an american citizen?

i'm not giving the media credit for ANYTHING because they created this mess.

Exactly. The World's Biggest Orange would never have made it this far if the press had treated him like they treat any other fringe candidate. But, no, they saw a chance of improving their ratings, and couldn't pass it up. They'll keep sucking up to him even though he has made it perfectly clear that, if elected, press freedom will be one of the first things to go.
