While on the one hand, I still can't believe stuff like this occurs, and governments have not banned pipelines altogether, I know first hand that these companies know good and well that this will eventually happen, and they don't care.

I heard gas went up $1 today at least one place in AL. (yesterday, at this point?)

So 250,000 gallons of gasoline spilled into lakes, rivers, and forests, and the "emergency" is that there might be a temporary shortage on the market, rather than anything about, say, wildlife or drinking water?
