Poor kid.

Jordan Roane, a rising 10th-grader, said Grimm should be able to use the boys’ bathroom because “he doesn’t really look like a girl.”

Eh... I mean this is also kind of dangerous because who gets to decide who looks like a girl and who looks like a guy? Shouldn't it be based on how Gavin IDs, not how others think he looks?

yeah, that kind of logic perpetuates the idea that trans people need to be able to "pass" to be considered valid, which is shitty

“In my opinion, as a pastor, looking at this situation, I do not believe that God makes mistakes,” said Ralph VanNess, a security guard at the high school who is also the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church. “God puts us on this Earth as who we are.”

Welp, a) who the fuck cares what you think, and b) God put Gavin on this earth as a transgender boy. Who says that was a mistake?

“I don’t think it’s right,” said John Groen, a rising 10th-grader. “I just believe if you’re a man, you’re a man, and if you’re a woman, you’re a woman. . . . That’s how God made you, and that’s how He sees fit for you to be.”

Hey Johnny, I agree! Gavin is a dude! God made him that way!

God made my little cousin Gabriel with a heart defect. How many of these people would argue with his parents about them taking him for multiple surgeries before he's even in elementary school? It's all very subjective, this "how God made you" thing.

I will bet you one hundred dollars that these are the type of Christians to say "everything happens for a reason!" and "disabilities are a blessing from God!"

“It was a responsibility I had before God,” he said.

"And lo, the LORD said unto Ralph VanNess, 'Go unto the school board and command that the child shitteth in the place that was proscribed.' And Ralph VanNess went before the school board and spoke in the name of the LORD."
