I am really glad for this.

But.

To be cynical for a moment:

Can you believe that in America, people have to deal with not only the threat of gun violence, but also the threat of financial ruin for seeking treatment for their injuries? It just blows my mind that people tolerate it.

This is the tip of the ice berg for me.... what grinds me is Worker's comp... lmao, they're under investigation right now (or always?) and whenever I see these news stories about it, I'm like "you know what would solve this......"

mte, I read that headline and my first thought was "how fucking magnanimous of them."

Don't get me wrong, kudos to them for doing this because the last thing these people need to worry about is medical bills, but it says a lot about our healthcare system when not financially ruining someone for getting shot is a grand show of charity.
