RIP. It's weird to think that pretty soon there will be no survivors living. Everyone who can share their first-hand experiences from the holocaust will be gone.

Indeed. The Holocaust, the war itself - they're almost all gone, and I feel like that will be a very bad thing.

Night was probably the most depressing book I've ever read. It made me so cynical about humanity as a whole because of how terrible people treat one another. I can hardly imagine going through what he experienced.

Anyway RIP, he lived a truly inspiring life.

His quote, "We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." resonates with me a lot.
