Interesting. Let's see where this goes. If somehow they run a third party and that person can win a few states, that would take the decision of who becomes president to the republican house, no?

Only if they won enough to stop someone from getting 270 votes. If they only take states from one person or only grab a couple of small states it will change nothing really. More likely it will just split the right's base and make a few more states blue should it happen at all.
