It is and its been going on for a while too. Her story and her son's seems to be gaining traction but we'll have to see how it goes. :/

What a gods-awful fucked up set of laws. If you have to punish people for that sort of thing, then your hold on power is shaky as fuck. I hope she gets some kind of justice, or that an international spotlight helps.

Thailand is going to be a shitshow when the King dies. The political climate is a looming disaster... the majority of the populace loves Thaksin, the "educated" (tbh, brainwashed) adore the King so much they're willing to suppress democracy in the name of "love for the King", and supposedly Thaksin and the Prince have financial ties. The Privy Council is going to have an aneurysm this whole thing collapses.

thanks for posting, it seems like an important story to spread. When a nation is cracking down on free speech, the best counter is to spread the word and speech and shame those nations as much as possible.

Well, this is upsetting. I think she's at least partially being targeted because of her son.

"Let's detain the people who disagree" isn't a long-term strategy.
