WOW. Dear gods.

That sounds like a right mess. This article doesn't seem to say - has the government ground to halt while this goes on? Or are things still mostly ticking over?

I hope, for the people, they can get this sorted soon!

yes, a complete mess... It is quite shamelessly to see how our politicians fight with each other and just tell the famous "and you more!" like they were kids themselves.

The previous government, which is rotten by corruption, is just an acting government and they cannot pass new laws or anything.

People are really fed up with the situation. We have new election day in June, 26th but it seems that we are going to get the same result more or less so, we do not know how it's going to come out.

Jeez-louise. At least things are still (nominally) working. It's really sad to realize that, the world over, there is basically no government or politician that is not somehow involved in some kind of poor or bad or illegal practices. Makes you kind of hate people, really.

I hope things work out for you (specific and general you)! Maybe something surprising will happen before the 26th that will be for the better.

What a mess. I'll confess I don't really understand the parliamentary form of government all that well, but I don't feel like I need to know much to see what a clusterfuck this is.

I wish the Spanish all the luck in the world with getting this straightemed out.

Edited because I can't splel.

My best friend is Valencian and she's so done with this shit she decided not to vote in the new elections. She can't stand the Podemos leadership (I can't blame her, Pablo Iglesias is unlikeable and their ties to Venezuela are ngl) and doesn't like PSOE, so iirc she voted for a green party; now, with how they can't even put their differences aside to elect a new president, she's frustrated and doesn't think it's worth it to spend her time voting, especially since she lives abroad.

It's just a crazy situation and I can't blame everyone for being fed up with it.
