So many people don't even do easy actions such as don't litter, and recycle your waste. There are malls that don't even have recycle bins. Fast fashion encourages and brainwashes people into consuming more than we need. How many people even understand the term: carbon footprint.
I feel like nothing will change much unless governments in office actually care about protecting the environment. They have the means to monthly remind people to reduce, recycle, reuse by way of advertisements. Yeah some people need that message to be constantly in their face for it to click in. I should wish for beef to be banned first, but most of the country would probably riot.
I would want to be Nux. Only care about fighting. No guilt, no nightmare.

Anyways, the point is- if we all recycled and composted, we could cut down landfills by (what they approximate would be) like almost 60%.... SIXTY fucking percent... that would reduce methane emissions immensely, and ultimately help battle climate change.
Does that mean that one individual littering or not recycling is the cause? No. But socially, there are a large enough number of people who dgaf that it's actually creating a large problem in how we have to handle our waste
