Missouri Democrats’ filibuster of bill protecting gay marriage opponents enters 19th hour

Missouri Senate Democrats staged an all-night filibuster into Tuesday morning in the hope of killing a bill they say enshrines anti-gay discrimination into the state Constitution.

The eight-member Democratic caucus began its filibuster shortly after 4 p.m. Monday. It is still ongoing as of 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.Senate President Pro-Tem Ron

Wow, this is the first I've heard about this filibuster... the livestream seems to be still going, but my blood pressure can't handle listening to it at work right now.

Rock stars, all of them.

Though is anybody else bugged by how often this is posed (mostly by people in favor of this legislation) as simply a debate over wedding cakes?

I know those have been some high-profile cases, but to me, the scarier thing about businesses being able to discriminate against LGBT folks is the idea of being denied medical attention, being stranded without gas in the middle of the night, stuff like that.
