Well, this is my bias, but Cruz uses religious rhetoric to back up his points, something Trump doesn't (and likely will never) do. I am more frightened of a religious ideologue, personally.
This is only going to benefit Trump. It's like Cruz is doubling down on the evangelical voter thing despite that block supporting Trump regardless of his religious views.
You have religious liberty, dumbfucks. The gay people metaphorically next door being able to get married and just live life has ZERO effect on your religion and your practicing of it.
Ted Cruz digusts me. I don't like religious zealots as is, but the fact that one is this close to the presidency is terrifying. I find him more insidious than Trump because Trump doesn't try to mask his intentions with religion, he just flat-out says it; he's still a scumbag, but due to his brash nature it's unlikely that any of his ideas would gain a steady foothold country-wide. Cruz, though... Cruz could get things passed, disguising them as other things and hiding behind rhetoric. He's like mold-- it's bad enough what you do see, but there's plenty spread out that you can't see that's just as bad.
