SCOTUSblog is the best place to look for actual insight since CNN is mostly worthless. They're dedicated entirely to understanding the politics and inner workings of the Supreme Court and are right so often it's eerie.

Nice overview!

Wilkins seems doomed because of that lawsuit, though it was a suit that clearly needed filing. But the Right is probably still stewing that DWB even happens (or is ever considered an unjustified reason for pulling someone over).

I agree about the age concerns of some of the candidates, too. 60 can be a spring chicken for some people, or nearly at death's door for others. Kind of a crapshoot.

I don't think he yet has the gravitas or experience for such an appointment, and moreover... it would prevent him from running for President down the road. Which I would dearly love to see happen. :D
