What @RepJohnLewis said about Sanders was harsh and possibly unfair. But so is using “I marched with King” for civil-rights bonafides.

Wait, did he see Hillary Clinton? Probably not since she was a Republican back then who was against the Civil Rights Movement before her views on this evolved.

She was a Republican when she was 16, couldn't vote, and basically following her parents. By 1968, when she was eligible to vote in her first election, she was a Democrat supporting Eugene McCarthy.
