I'm glad he's finally being called out on his bigotry by mainstream organizations as well, in addition to individual critics who have been doing so for a long time. Also, I'm pretty sure no one gives a crap if this old white cis dude decides to "count himself" as a feminist of any sort. Dick, you're already giving one movement a bad name, you don't need to expand the list where no one invited you.
That's a huge problem I have with of white atheist men - they tend to have this smug sense of superiority, and often have nothing but awful things to say about feminism or Islam. It's almost like a script.
It's disappointing because, so long as they stick to science, they're awesome dudes in my book. But then they start opening their big mouths about other things, and it's disappointing.
