That's precisely what it is. I remember when the embryonic stem cell controversy was going on in the Shrub years. It boiled down to GOP BS and myths to work their base into a rage. Sad thing is, it worked, and there's been a lot of good work that could've been done with stem cells that hasn't happened because of the resulting bans.
