I think a lot of these endorsements are based more on the fact that folks are betting that Hillary will be the nominee, and also the fact that some of these groups have had long standing ties to the Clintons as opposed to major policy differences between Hillary and Bernie.

In many ways, I think this is a silly fight for him to be picking. Really, everyone involved are part of the "establishment". I actively support both Bernie (I am involved in campaigning for him) and also Planned Parenthood (I do clinic escorting). I am disappointed, but unsurprised, by their endorsement decision, but at the end of the day it really doesn't change any of the work I do.

And, it is worth noting that he got the support of Moveon and DFA specifically because those two groups gave people to opportunity to vote on the endorsement decision, and Bernie overwhelmingly won both polls.

im so confused by the backlash. as a QMOC, the HRC is the assimilationist LGBT political machine of my nightmares like?????? they are the corporate white gay male group pushing drone strikes and marginalizing queer/trans people of color and women. they are the white middle class club sylvia rivera warned us about like wtf am i in the twilight zone????

Why would the biggest LGBT organization endorse @HillaryClinton when she supported Defence of Marriage Act (96), and @BernieSanders' didn't?

Exactly. We are talking about an organization which has honored companies like Goldman Sachs for crying out loud.

I think his answer was a bit tone-deaf.

Calling Planned parenthood and HRC 'establishment' reeks of liberal ally/ straight Dude privilege.

I have to say that while I do agree with Sanders on many issues, I think he needs to learn the art of nuance. Like he just...says stuff, and then people applaud him, and honestly, there doesn't seem to be a lot of good details in his ideas.

And yes, I know that in campaigns, politicians generally try to go for the wide swath, and worry about the little things later, but that seems to be Sanders' only strategy.
