If this gets put on a ballot initiative or if this comes up in a survey where I have to answer yes or no, then yes, I'm in favor of removing "In God we trust." from our currency, and yes, they're right, having it there does go against the separation of church and state.
That said, I'm having a really hard time bringing myself to give two shits about this.

I don't really care one way or the other. The only time I even look at cash anymore is when I pull it out the ATM for my dealer, outside of that, I don't even know that I remember which president is on which bill let alone God being there.

When it comes to cultural perspective, everything matters. And removing in deo creamus from our currency would mean SCOTUS would have to be far more definite about the limits of church and state than they've been so far.

Yup, multiple times, most recently in 2014 and 2015, and so far all of them have failed. The most common cause of the failure is that participating in the pledge is usually optional and people can choose to skip those two words or remain silent if they want.
