Davis had argued that her Apostolic Christian faith prevented her from recognizing such marriages.
For her this is ... not a defiance-of-the-court issue. This is a conscience issue."
She is basically telling Judge Bunning and the 6th Circuit and the Supreme Court that she doesn't care what they say...
"I'm willing to face my consequences, and you all will face your consequences when it comes time for judgment," she said. "It's plain and simple."
It IS plain and simple. If she's not able to do her job for whatever reason, she should quit/be impeached and become...IDK...a Sunday school teacher. No matter what she says, it's defiance of the court and she should get punished for that. Fuck lawmakers who side with her, they're clearly not doing their jobs either...
This woman obviously wants to be a "martyr," and when/if she is fined, jailed, impeached, and/or anything else, she will no doubt have the time of her life playing that role to the hilt. No, make that "continue" to have the time of her life, because I'm convinced that she

I have very little tolerance for people who take jobs with duties they then refuse to perform because of their religous beliefs and even less for people who do it while they are being paid by the government. We have separation of church and state for a reason. I don't care if you're a county clerk refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, a drugstore pharmacist refusing to sell contraception, or a vegan grocery store clerk refusing to sell meat, you took the job knowing that duties you might object to would, or could, be part of the job. Get out of the way and make space for someone who will do the job you're unwilling to do.

Thanks for the additional evidence of her hypocrisy. I wonder if that last sentence isn't missing a word, though. Kim Davis wouldn't need to adopt twins she had given birth to, so I'm assuming that it's Joe Davis (her current husband) who adopted them!

Christianity sure is convenient in how it lets you judge others as if your past never happened.

I hope she gets impeached and heavily fined.
