Clearly the college is fighting tooth and nail to keep their money. No surprise here.
My only question is: why isn't this motion being laughed out of the courtroom?
Or is it? The article doesn't say.

It may not be, probably because part of the victim's damages are her inability to engage in sex after the rape, which needs some evidence to bring before the court.

But asking for the sexual history prior? That's straight up intimidation. The "deflowering" doesn't appear to be part of the damages and so it's not relevant.

Slut shaming at it's finest. Why does it matter if she was a virgin at the time of the rape or not or how many partners she had afterward? Rape is rape and the trauma the victims experience manifests in a great variety of ways.

Tangentially: I'll be so happy when non-virgins stop being regarded damaged goods who, having once been penetrated, no longer have the right to say no or for whom rape is somehow less traumatic.
