March for Marriage attracts thousands to Capitol Hill

Thousands of people gathered Saturday for a passionate, peaceful demonstration to uphold marriage “as God ordained it.”

“The people of this nation know what marriage is, and we do not want it redefined,” said Brian S. Brown, president of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), the main sponsor of the March For Marriage.

Marriage has been getting redefined through the ages. There's no reason for it to stagnate at one man-one woman.

Pretty sure we've redefined marriage in law numerous times since the founding of the US. Women are no longer their husband's legal responsiblity/property, for example. Marital rape is no longer legal. The legal concept of legitimacy has been ended.
