Gay rights advocates have made significant progress in the fight to discredit and ultimately ban conversion therapy, a practice that claims to "cure" gay people. Jesus Christ, is Sally Kern trying to single-handedly lead Oklahoma into the 17th century?

Here are the three bills she's introduced, all on her own:

State House Bill 1599, the “Preservation and Sovereignty of Marriage Act,” stipulates that taxpayer funds and governmental salaries cannot be used to support same-sex marriage (SCOTUS be damned). House Bill 1598, known as the “Freedom to Obtain Conversion Therapy Act” would allow parents to seek (invariably damaging and unsuccessful) counseling and therapy to change a child’s sexual orientation. And, finally, House Bill 1597 would allow businesses to refuse service “to any lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender person, group or association.” Because nothing says “Christian” like the refusal to help others. (From here.)

I don't live in Oklahoma, thank goodness. Not that my state is much better (I'm in Kentucky, where Senator Dr. Paul Rand is telling people that vaccines are dangerous things, WTF?!). But yeah.

Can we vote these people off our island? Please?

OMG, she IS a piece of work! Ngl, I'm glad I live in Illinois. We have our problems (like the state being practically bankrupt), but at least we don't have sociopaths like her representing us in Congress.

Remind me to read Ms. Kern's memoir: "The Stoning of Sally Kern: The Liberal Attack on Christian Conservatism - and Why We Must Take a Stand"

Not even kidding.

Thanks for drawing this to our attention. I'm looking at the book at Amazon right now, and OMG, does this woman ever have a martyr complex! I feel like I need a dose of brain bleach after reading just a few paragraphs of the spewings of her tiny, warped little mind.
