Oh honey, you're not sorry for your words, they were exactly what you meant and that's the softened version we saw, because I guarantee the raw version from her brain was probably a lot more blunt than what she wrote.
Turkeys are vile, nasty birds and take a lot of getting used to. They are friendly, goofy, funny, and seem to like people but if someone isn't a fan of smelly, pooping, HUGE, ugly farm animals then that person isn't going to be too happy being in the company of a turkey. If that turkey was right there in front of them then it's no wonder they look a bit dismayed and I wouldn't blame them one bit.
