Fuckin superhero.

Also I'd like to see the judge who would sentence him to jail for this shit. I hope this influences some changes in our country's idiotic poverty laws.

Unfortunately, this isn't constrained to Florida. I've heard of anti-homeless feeding laws in other states.

We've got a war for everything. Bush's War on Terror, Nixon's War on Drug Addicts, LBJ's War on the Impoverished...

What do you mean about LBJ? You have a problem with food and housing assistance?

Spain called. They said "For the last time, no, we don't want Florida!"

I heard an NPR segment about this. One of the commissioners said "as long as they choose to be homeless..." and I bitter-laughed in the car for 10 minutes.

How do you go on public radio, say those kinds of things, and not pause and think, hey, I sound pretty soulless right now? Maybe it's the soullessness, makes it hard to do any self-reflection. But you could at least think "some of my constituency is afraid of becoming homeless, maybe suggesting it's a choice won't fly with them" if you're going to be a selfish git.

I'd be curious to know about these ~programs~. Usually programs offered don't even come close to addressing the actual needs of the homeless, and the cynical part of me thinks that may be the point....

Sad part is, at least some of these nitwits actually believe this. Some of them will even dress shabby and beg for change to "prove" that homeless people are actually scammers in disguise.
